Watching my garden grow...

Steven built a fence, which I then painted. Then we filled that fence with 88 seeds and seedlings of all different kinds of vegetables. Jalapeno Peppers, Banana Peppers, Bell Peppers, Cucumbers, Squash, Tomatoes, Lettuce, Eggplant, Zucchini, Bush Beans, and Potatoes. That was over a month ago and it looked like this:

Now...

It looks like this!

Every year we have tried to plant wild flowers in the back yard but between the constant stampede of my furry children and the 24 hour open buffet for our bird sanctuary, the seeds some how disappear. Not this year kiddos. Into the pots they go. They're just starting to bloom and I'm excited to see what they'll look like.

The McDowell household is definitely looking forward to a summer of fresh cut flowers and homegrown vegetables(plenty to share of course).

There's also someone looking forward to another part of her summer...
